Star Wars Republic Datacron Guide – Information About Star Wars Republic Datacrons

Looking for a Star Wars Republic Datacron Guide? Good news! In this post I’m going to let you know what these mysterious artifacts are, why are they important and most important, where to find them.

So, for the first chapter of this short Star Wars Republic Datacron guide, let’s see…

What are Datacrons?

Datacrons are relics or artifacts that can be found throughout the whole Star Wars: The Old Republic universe. Each planet has its share of Datacrons, and if you want to improve your character, you should find them all.

The look like small cubes and emit a colorful, bright glow. They’re not difficult to locate, but in most cases it’s not quite easy to get to their position and collect them. Once you have a Datacron in your grasp, a cutscene will start and you will be granted the attributes of that specific Datacron.

A Datacron is visible to you until you pick it up. They don’t change location and, thank God, you don’t have to camp a certain location for hours or days to obtain one.

Why are Star Wars Republic Datacrons so important?

Since most of the Datacrons grant you stats points, it’s best to have as many as possible, if not all of them, to bolster your character’s attributes and deal more damage, healing or becoming a threatening target.

For example the three Datacrons on Tython, the jedi starting planet will grant you:

Datacron 1: +2 Endurance
Datacron 2: +2 Willpower
Datacron 3: Blue Matrix Shard

As you can see, some of the Datacrons contain Matrix Shards which you must process and combine into Matrix Cubes (three by three), to obtain powerful mods.

To assemble and respectively disassemble a Matrix Cube, you will need to access a Matrix Assembly, which can be found on Coruscant for the Republic, and on Dromund Kaas for Empire.

To deconstruct a Matrix Cube, you will have to access a disassembler which basically looks like the assembler, but in order to power it you will need a special component, a Reconstructed Disassembler Core which is quite pricey. It currently costs 20.000 credits. Therefore, be careful which shards you put into your Matrix Cube.

Where to find Datacrons?

The last tag of this short Star Wars Republic datacrons guide refers to the locations of Datacrons. Currently there are 66 Datacrons comprised in the Star Wars: The Old Republic universe and there probably are more to be added in future patches. The existent ones are scattered on all 17 planets. The list is quite a bit long.
Therefore, if you want to discover all the Star Wars Republic Datacrons’ locations, check out this Star Wars Republic Datacrons Guide.

Star Wars Republic Leveling Guide – Fastest Way to Reach Level 50

Do you want to know how to reach level 50 in Star Wars Republic as soon as possible? Well, even if this post isn’t exactly a step-by-step Star Wars Republic leveling guide, you will surely find here a few bits of valuable information that will help you level a lot more faster. By the time you have finished reading this article, you’ll know what you have to do.

Probably just like yourself, no matter what MMO I play, my number one goal is to hit the level cap as quickly as possible, and have my character ready for end-game PvP and raiding. Needless to say, I have the same goal for Star Wars Republic.

Leveling in Star Wars Republic isn’t too difficult, but just as in almost any other MMO, it’s the same long and tedious process. Although Bioware has given a very neat storyline to each class, which also gives the game a very catchy atmosphere, if you get caught by it, it will take you a lot of time to reach level 50.

Ok, so let’s see…

What’s the Fastest Way to Level Up in Star Wars Republic?

Not surprisingly, it’s questing (or completing missions, to put it in Star Wars Republic terms). And Star Wars Republic quests don’t have a high level of difficulty, in general, featuring quite a distinctive central leveling path. But there are always hidden objectives that can take a lot of time to discover, and shortcuts that can make your leveling process much easier and bring you a high XP rating. That’s when a Star Wars Republic leveling guide comes in.

Plus, if you know how to alternate your questing sessions with warzones and flashpoints sessions, you will also be able to keep a peaked XP rating. This aspect is also covered excellently by a Star Wars Republic leveling guide I’ve been using.

Star Wars Republic Fast Leveling Tips

Knowing questing shortcuts or the exact location of certain quest bosses or objectives isn’t enough though, to have a quick progression in Star Wars Republic. There are also a few rules that I’ve learned by using a Star Wars Republic leveling guide, that I’m going to share here.

1. If you want fast leveling, skip all the NPC talking in each quest. Pressing “space” allows you to do that. Sadly, I wasn’t able to find out about the “skip-talking” command only on my second day of Star Wars Republic. Every time I asked about it in the game chat, the trolls that were everywhere, gave me only erroneous advice, like: “Press ALT + F4, that’ll do!”

2. Enable area loot. Looting a large pack of corpses one by one will considerably slow you down.

3. Choose an AoE specialization for leveling.

4. Although most classes have at least one basic healing ability, it’s always a good idea to have medpacks with you. Dying after you have cleared a cave full of mobs, right before you complete your objective really sucks, and doing it over and over again will surely slow you down.

Now, to level fast in Star Wars Republic isn’t that difficult. But in order to do that, it’s best to know exactly where to go and what to do, when to join a warzone or a flashpoint, and what quests to complete, especially in flashpoints.
A Star Wars Republic leveling guide can be a lot of help. You will find more details about the best one of them, only a click away.

★ Star Wars Republic: Jedi Knight Playthrough #3, ft Hengest!

We like to bring our visitors videos from time to time. Here is another great one of Star Wars Republic!

Star Wars Republic – The Jedi Sentinel and Jedi Guardian

BioWare’s latest MMORPG, Star Wars the Old Republic (Star Wars Republic) is developed all around the Star Wars theme. As such, the classes, species and characters within the game are all taken from the big screen movie. The Jedi are thus a must-have to include in Star Wars Republic. Gamers will be able to play as a Jedi Knight and advance as either a Jedi Sentinel or Jedi Guardian when the game is released this December 20, 2011.

As can be easily guessed by Star Wars fans, the Jedi Knight class aligns itself with the Galactic Republic and makes use of the lightsabers as their main weapon on the battlefield. Besides the use of lightsabers, the Jedi Knights are also capable of using force skills for various purposes. This class is known to frequently lead armies into battle against the Sith Empire. For the Jedi Knights, action is the name of the game. The three known species available to the class include Human, Miraluka and Zabrak.

The two specializations for the class, otherwise known as advanced classes are the Jedi Sentinel and Jedi Guardian. The availability of advanced classes in the game enables gamers to further customize their characters in terms of skills, builds and capabilities. The Star Wars Republic Jedi Guardian specialization lets the Jedi enhance protective and tanking abilities. The Sith Empire counterpart, is the Sith Juggernaut. As a tank, the Jedi Guardian also taunts enemies to distract them from the less protected Republic classes and inspires allies when in group fights. This makes the advanced class a much desired member in group fights as well as full fledge battles. As a Jedi Knight, the Guardian is regarded as a damage dealer (DPS) regardless. In other words, a damage-dealer with enhanced tanking and protective abilities.

The three skill trees available to the class are Vigilance, Defense and Focus. Focus, which is also available to the Jedi Sentinel, lets the class further specialize with advanced Force techniques such as taking on the Shii-Cho lightsaber form. The Defense skill tree is suitable for gamers who looks forward to protecting allies while Vigilance, lets the guardian emphasize on single-blade offense.

The Star Wars Republic Jedi Sentinel on the other hand, can be viewed as a pure and truly enhanced damage dealing class. With that in mind, it is not unusual to come across Jedi Sentinels wielding dual blades. With this advanced class, it is all about focus and control. For example, Sentinels are very adept at creating webs of damage using two lighsabers at the same time. As soon as they see a loophole in the enemy’s defense, the Sentinel is usually fast to take advantage of it.

The specialization offers three skill trees. Focus, which is a shared one, Watchman and Combat. The Watchman skill tree allows the Jedi Sentinel to effectively take on the Juyo Lightsaber form while Combat lets the Sentinel take on the Ataru Lightsaber. Juyo Lightsaber form makes the Jedi more dangerous in fights while Ataru Lightsaber focuses on dispersing enemies with attacks.
Whichever of the advanced class gamers choose to play, they are both sure to provide a memorable experience in the vast Star Wars galaxy.
